La tsuba è l'artistica guardia (che si potrebbe anche chiamare guardamano o, più correttamente "coccia"), opera di artisti orafi, che dal XVI secolo in poi impreziosiva la katana del samurai. Qui una splendida scelta di questi capolavori tratti dal testo di Okakura-Kakuzo del 1908.
La didascalia precede l'immagine. La prima riga contiene l'indicazione del motivo.
